Living History Demonstrations First Oval Office Project

First Oval Office Project at Historic Waynesborough

November 8, 2026 from 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
This image shows the handsewn replica linen tent with a silk replica commander in chief standard out front at FDR Park.

Join the First Oval Office Project at Historic Waynesborough to explore what life was like in George Washington's Continental Army tent and encampment.

Check out replica equipment, tools, and uniforms, and engage with living history interpreters who bring to life the stories of the diverse people and complex events surrounding the Revolutionary War.
